Not the best shot of the day (the Angels are sellers) but this F-18 is the 25,000th shot from my 20D. Miramar Airshow, Canon 70-200mm 4L + Kenko Teleplus Pro 300 DG x1.4 convertor. 1/1600 @ f/6.3. The day was overcast and sunny so it was an interesting shoot.

Oh, I thought I was going to have something to celebrate - another seven shots on my camera brings the click tally to 10,000... I guess you win. |

Thanx...
For Airshows I always set drive mode to AI Servo mode and let the camera do the tracking. I was pretty close and had enough problems with the zoom (keeping the entire(all) plane(s) in the shot. > 700 shots on Saturday < 10 were OOF and another 4 had half planes. It was a pretty good day. :)
We had the F-22 raptor, the Stealth (Nighthawk), the B1 and a ton of others... |

Yup - The 20D (though never really stated by Canon) should be pretty much considered good for at least 50,000+ actuations. I shoot horse events and the burst ability has saved my butt more than once. |
