Ordered my 350D just now. Won't get it till 20th November mind you as it is a 30th B'Day pressie from the wife and she will hide it away from me till then!
Still, better start ordering/buying the necessary accesories eh!
Can't wait for my new toy... |

Congrats on the new cam....when I bought mine in September I told myself I would wait until Christmas before I bought anything for it......well look at my profile and you will see I added 2 lenses already......
I bought a Battery Grip for it last night.
IMO the first essential accesory has to be that 85mm Lens. But once I get the battery grip that may change.

Well the wife has e-mailed to say that my parcel has arrived!
Can't wait to check it out when I go home, even though I know she will take it off me straight away and say "that is for your birthday - you're not having it now!". 1 whole month away!!!
I am also getting the battery grip for it from the in-laws - can't wait!
I have a 35-80mm lens sitting at home so I have something to get on with, but I don't know which lenses I should go for next. I know if I get a wide angle, there will be times when I really wish it had been a tele, and vise versa. I can't really buy both as the wife would have a fit about the fact that I had aquired almost £1000 worth of camera equipment in about a month!
What to do!?!?!?! |

Ebay.
Sell stuff there, accumulate the caash in your paypal account, then buy stuff there (usually exceeding your income...) and have it shipped to a friend or work address. Then lie about how much it cost IF you get caught with it. You can gather quite a bit of stuff this way...and kep it hidden.
I got my 300D back in Jan. got 2 lenses (50 1.8 and an inexpensive 28-80) and really really wanted the Sigma 70-300 APO...by june i'd gotten the Sigma, a Sigma 18-50 2.8, a metz flash, a set of extension tubes, extra batteries, memory cards, a new backpack to put it all in...and I thought I was OK for a while..then I got a lumedyne flash ("But dear, it was a mistake...I thoguht i clicked on 'watch' not 'bid'. How was i to know it would sell with only 1 bid?"). Then you gotta get a wireless trigger....("But dear, it'll let me take beautiful portraits of the kids").
Next on me list is the Canon 28-135 IS lens...my b'day is coming too! |
