By the way where do you get a woody?? |
Thanks joynim - usually when I wake up in the morning--- oh wait, I see what you mean - ;-P
Any art supply store should have them - sometimes a framing shop. I've got a collection - some from //www.dickblick.com (don't blame me for the URL).
I saw one at an art store yesterday that was like 3feet tall! I thought to myself, "Man, I wish I had a 3' woody!" :) |
Well thanks kpriest. Had a quick look at website could'nt find them under "W" where are they listed?
What do you think if I went into an art supply store here in NZ and said show us your woody, what might I be shown?!

I think that if you went into an art store and asked with a reasonably straight face, "do you have any manikins made of wood" they might show you a woody. Then, after you pay for the little fellow (They can come gender specific, you know) it'll be time to head for the door and your camera.
Another mail order source for these gender specific little creatures is:
Daniel Smith. |

It is fairly easy to take a good photo of some fantastically fascinating subject, but enthralling us all with some silly little wooden figure takes a LOT more skill.
Anybody who can take such a simple object and make interesting photos with it, is ahead of the pack already.
Don't mark woody photos down just because you don't like woodies..... |
