Either way Ill be happy. Hobbled out today (after my toe operation), just down the road to see if i could do my W_I_D_E shot but came home with this instead.. what do you think please.

edit- BTW this was shot at 18mm my widest asset so it might of gone into the challenge..

Nice enough shot, but it's fairly unremarkable. It'd probably be stuck in the low 5's in the challenge.

My opinion only, and spoken as someone firmly stuck in the 5's himself.

I like it........ good subject and technically excellent - I'd vote 6 minimum, but it would possibly be only rated by averaged votes in the high 4's or low 5's in a wide challenge.

I totally agree, that is why i never submitted. but technically it is a wide angle shot because i used the 18mm lens i was just in close.. someone commented that it looks like i pointed my cam at a hedge and shot.. pretty close but this is a river. anyway, I will be keeping a very open mind on this challenge because not everyone can even go to 18mm, some P&S cams are gonna have a nightmare with this one.

I have an idea for my shot to keep it wide, thinking out the box on this challenge may be a bad idea.. thanks for all the comments just wanted to see what the reaction would be..

That was me - I went for the 'knock me down' option.

LMAO but you were right, that is exactly what it looks like too. but it was shot with a wide angle lens... I hope the voters take pity on those with P&S cameras or those that try to be out of the box... Im going for the safe option, I might even go buy me the Tokina 12-24, I wanted one for ages so now i have the perfect excuse.
