Now that the Challenge is over I would just like to take a moment to shout out to those who gave comments and/or voted on my entry. If you were the many ones that thought it was too dark you are spot on. Thank you.
I began kicking myself when that observations came rolling in - I do have one that was brighter and vibrant but I went with the darker tones because in my opinion the color was richer in the purple hues than the red violet seen in the other.
Even though I did not finish in the top 50, overall the challenge was positive for me because it got me to test out all those wonderful settings on my camera that I had yet to test: i.e. Aperature only setting, manual mode, adjusting ASA/ISO, Saturation adjustment, Contrast adjustment, etc. etc. So I took many shots with different settings and learned my camera a little more.
Anyone else feel that this was a positive learning experience? |

| I loved your photo, if it had been brighter I'm sure you would have scored a lot higher. |

it was a tad dark on my monitor, i gave it a 7. Love purple.
