I am zeroing on Kodak LS 753 and canon A520 to buy.
Kodak one is 5 MP where as Canon is 4 MP but the latter has more manual controle. But the main issue is that in more than one review I have read that the 'Construct is of questionable nature, the camera squeeks when hold tightly', some even reported more serious manufacturing defect.
SO I beg all the A520/Canon (in general) users to share their experience of using the camera with me please.
Also please advice is Amazon the most reliable with after sales service?

I got to play with the A510 for a while recently (identical apart from the 3.2MP instead of 4.?). I found it to be a surprisingly good for what it is.
I found it very solid and the pics were good even in lower light (ok it's not my 20D but it's not in the same price range and I cannot fit the SLR in my pocket either).
Catch is that I have not used the Kodak, so this is not a lot of help :-) |

I'm sure you've done more research, and know what you want to get. But considering that your current camera is in this class, why would you want to buy something so similar? Wouldn't you do better to save a few hundred more and get an "slr-type" point and shoot? Is your current one defective or broken?
Amazon, B&H, Adorama, and many others are good.
Go to Pricegrabber or Reseller Ratings to get feedback on some of the lesser know ones. Also, you can look up the price of the camera you choose.

Good question. Actually I have just returned my camera to the manufacturer and got a part of my money back. |

I agree. Save some $$$ and get a better camera. You can get a pretty capable camera in the $4-500 range.
