$350 later I'm a proud owner od a red-wing compact boom. This stuff is way too expensive!!

Im watching "Red-Wing" Hockey but I have no idea what a Boon is? :)

It's for overhead studio lighting. Like a hair light or hi-main light. Here is an example.

What's crazy is this thing costs almost as much as the damn chimera strip softbox I just bought.

LOL!

it's all manual. It just keeps the lights angle tha same independent of boom movement.

That's what they used to call it when Probert took some guy out in a particlarly spectacular fashion. Red Wing BOOM!
