So if there is doubt ... I shouldn't post. Thanks. Goodbye to my light swarmed by bugs ...
The light was inanimate ... bright and attractive but not a personification. |

[quote=fixedintime] The instructions for the challenge say:
Take a photo of something non-human-looking but yet still shows human characteristics or evokes a human feeling.
They also have as their DEFINITION of personification "Personification occurs when inanimate objects are endowed with human qualities or represented as possessing human form or personality" That would lead ME to believe it should be an inanimate object, rather than just a non human. But that is me, I try to do as the challenge suggest/order. Everyone has their own choice, of course!

Jacque,
You are right each of us has our own read on the challenge and that is why it is very worthwhile to read these threads as they show what the voters think. While I see a dog as OK, I would hasten to add that I very much suspect that such an image will not do well among the votes. The various threads on the challenge show that. So whatever I submit will be "inanimate" and will not be "human looking."

Larry, think you are making the correct choice - btw, I agree it should not have to be that way, but think it is for the best!! Good Luck!!
