Over in Brookside, about 20k's from here is a farm called 'Thornycroft' that has a simply stunning driveway. It's about 200m long, and lined on both sides with elms. In spring time it's often surrounded with Dafodils on both sides as well.. In autumn the colours are amazing with later afternoon light on the trees.
I must have driven past there a few hundred times, but whenever the light has been really good I've not had the camera, and when I have the camera the light is terrible.
Well, finally on Sunday I got an OK photo. The dafs are gone now, they were out about a month back, but will be back again, so I'll have to keep on trying. :-).
Do you like?

I like! Would be a perfect setting for doing a four seasons collection of shots.

Now that's not a half-bad plan. :-).
You'll have to wait about 9 months for the result!!!

Nice location. This particular shot is nice as well. As the leaves turn more, i can imagine how great it will be. I like Sue's idea of a 4 seasons series. One thing that's mostly a personal bias, I would stop the aperature down a bit more...I don't care for the foreground grass being out of focus. But, it's definitely a subjective decision. :-) |
