lol Thanks Arie, its okay no worries I've been doing reading on lighting and portrait work with my free time :). Along with many other things that I've put on the back burner.

Can't wait to see what everyone comes back with!

Went to the Grand Ave. Festival. Nice event.
//yido.smugmug.com/

Raul, the battery life of the II N is about 800-1200 shots on a charge. Needless to say, even with heavy chimping, I've yet to drain the battery.
I've a Kingston 2GB 120X Ultima SD as my main card, and since the N holds two cards, use a Kingston 2GB Pro 50x CF card as my back up. I haven't used it yet though. If you are considering equipment, get the one that offers the features that you are looking for, for the least price. Even a used Canon 10D is a really nice camera, a used Digital Rebel, or a used 20D may be an option. I know more about Canon's than Nikons, but I'm sure that there are nice used D100, D70's out there as well if price is a concern. I think if the speed of the camera doesn't bother you, the 10D is a great camera. In the mean time, you can borrow my Rebel, just bring your own CF card.

Fritz, congrats on your new job. I hope to see you out here more often. BTW, did you see the set of the Star Trek Next Gen. that I took on smugmug? he he.

So, Arie, can you tell us more about the day of the dead?
The official Yahoo group's outing is the West Hollywood Holloween carnaval on the Holloween. Everyone is inivted if interested.

I am going to the Halloween Carnival next year, need to save money. Bobby & Lyse want to get a restaraunt on the blvd to watch the parade. I want to walk around. What time are you all going down there? I don't think I can make it (may need to be with my sister), but just in case...

Eric,
Sorry, I was at the Miramar Airshow today. I'll be posting in a day or so. If you want to shoot at night, you should give me a call.

Arie,
while I'm waiting for Rawshooter Premium version, I have to use the supplied DPP software from Canon to process RAW. The program is slow but it has one thing RawShooter Essentials lacked, curves. It add contrast at places you want to really add "pop" to the images. Fortunately RawShooter Premium should support the II N and have curves, all for just $100 from the rumors I hear.

Shannon,
Let me know whenever you are in the LA area, I love to go out shooting. I'll go alone but prefer other photog to chew the fat with, talk gear and technique, and to be inspired by other photogs.

Thanks for looking at my pics. Miramar Airshow stuff is now done.
