Okay, put the Olympus c-5000 up on Ebay for a parts sale, killed me to let it go but it just wasn't going to come back to life, at least not with my limited capabilities.
Sooooooo, I'm back to one camera, no back up. I have the C-211 but it's rather bulky for a back up and eats up batteries like candy.
I want another c-5000 like camera but not sure I want the C-5000 itself. I'm not quite ready to make the jump to an srl type camera but want one with a hot shoe or at least able to add on a slave flash unit eventually and one I can have the option of more control so I can learn.
Any suggestions?
Price can not be over $300 if possible, will have to work extra hard for this one.

Anyone with an old one sitting around they might want to move to a new home for the right price? |

Well I don't have any suggestions, I'm as confused as you are. But since this thread was looking so lonely, I thought I'd post the link to the Olympus product page for the same type of camera as the C5000 (assuming you want to stay with Olympus, that is)

Or.... Since you're a FinePix user already, how about the E550?

Ya know, I was looking at your model! And I like Kodak, good name. Have some on a watch list. ;)

And thanks Jhonan, I hadn't see the E550 before |
