Hi, I'm a mere novis at photography but really enjoy it. I'd love to be able to some close-ups of insects etc. Could anyone advise me on which lens would be suitable. I have a canon EOS 350D.
I have entered some challenges, not expecting to win or even come anywhere near, so that I can learn from all your comments and hopefully improve.

I have an EFS 18-55mm and a 70-300mm. I've just purchased a 550EX speedlite.

So if anyone would be kind enough to look at my pics and let me know where I'm going wrong I would be more than greatfull. (Before anyone questions it, the branch was "flash and blur" not many people liked it :-(

Anyway back to the hardware question, please can you help!

Thanks ziggy_faw

I have the Tamron 180mm macro. Several companies make this size lens. It has worked well for me.

also you can look at photos sorted by the lens they were shot with.
