I have a friend who wants to get into some infrared photography and I know there are a lot of good photos here. So post your shots fro her so can see what is possible, thanks

Wow..... I thought I'll just go find a link to a gallery and post it for you, but there IS NO infrared gallery!!! How sad!

I find if you take a photo, convert it to B&W in photoshop then use the invert feature it has very similar qualities as infrared does. Just a thought.

Are these IR images actually representative of the IR spectrum? The IR I know is that of police helicopters, showing individual heat signatures. Is this doing the same (just at a much higher resolution) or is it simply an effect named for its similarity to the classic infrared signatures.

If I took a photo (with an IR filter) of a stove with only one element on, would it show up as a brighter than all of the others?

I use the Hoya R72 filter which uses the most common part of the IR spectrum. Also I use the Olympus C-2020Z camera because it allows more IR date to pass on to the image chip.
