This is a picture of 3 walls, a floor and a ceiling.

It was shot at Disneysea Tokyo in the illusions section, they had a super dooper wide angle lens set up in front of a beautifully painted room. This was shot with the Contax U4R through the said wide lens.

What do you think?

edited to correct 3 walls and not 4 as i stated before.

How do you shoot FOUR walls? Is the lens so wide it can see behind itself? (assuming the room only has four walls)

hrmm...I think in order to appreciate it, we'd have to be there or see a regular shot at like 30mm or so just to put things into perspective.

EDIT: hrmm...I think I clicked the wrong title. I thought I clicked "Can I toot my own horn here" -- hence the advice to appreciate it...I didn't mean to come off like that.

It's a cool picture, don't get me wrong...do you have one at like 30mm still though?

That's very funky. I'd love to have the rooms in my house painted as if there were a scene or environment around the room. Could have a tropical room, forest room, Grand Canyon room, mountain room, strip-club room...
:-)

That's really cool, Marac! If you want to see some more cool illusions like this, go to the Tokyo Tower and check out the museum upstairs. In addition to a wax statue of a vampire named "Dracura," they have a museum full of this kind of optical illusion. Cameras are welcome, so bring someone who can pose with the artwork since several of them are interactive. There's another museum like that at the train station for Mount Takao in western Tokyo, which is a great place to take pictures of fall colors.
