I am reading some of the challenge threads and people are saying they just recieved a 1 or a 9 etc. How are they seeing the actual individual vote. Yes, I am new and easily confuzzled. If you could let me know it would be greatly appreciated. I am addicted to the update button but that just shows me the average. Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance.
If this is a dumb question, please feel free to give me a dumb answer. |

You can't actually see the inidividual vote. But you can do some math to figure it out. For example, if you had a score that went from an average of 6.0000 with 150 votes to 6.0066 with 151 votes, you can figure out that the last vote was a 7. |

Some people keep track of the scores and start doing the math..
Here's an example:
Votes: 59
Views: 78
Avg Vote: 6.2373
Votes: 60
Views: 81
Avg Vote: 6.26
60x6.26 - 59x6.2373 = 7.5993
You received a vote of 8 on your 60th vote
Does this make sense? |

Thank you woutje& rikki11, too much math for me. I'll just keep hitting the update button and drive myself around the twist.

we have put a database on excel that gives us the votes from updates we imput and then it tells us what votes have been given. It also makes a graph of our scores so we keep a record of what has happened over the week. (sad aren't we?) John & I have a mini competition between ourselves just to add to the fun!
I think others do it in their heads but my maths isn't good enough.
You do have to keep a very regular eye on the update whatever happens so that is why we are all addicted!!!

The system does not always work. I did the math once and got a zero vote. The key assumption is that one new vote was cast and no old vote was changed. Sometimes that is true and sometimes it isn't. |
