....I held the Canon 350D XT in my hand yesterday. It was bliss!
For 9 months now I have been meaning to get my hands on a D-SLR but circumstances and events have never permitted me to do so. Yesterday after long I was in a Camera shop helping a friend pick up a camera (DSC H1).... My eyes wandered over the show cases.. and locked on to the black beauty. I didnt think I'd get to have a look (as we had finished purchasing and were about to move out). So I asked anyway.... and the counter salesman agreed....
The black matte body fit snuggly in my hand. 'Perfect' would do injustice to how it felt. The click of the lens fitting in ... the sound of the flash re-charging. I took a few shots... around the small place.. Nothing like I have ever seen. It seems to lock in on the subject and focus lightning fast. It takes you a while to register that it has already finished clicking and shown you the preview too... while you're wondering what happened. After a little bit of playing I had to submit to the continous pleading of the salesman and return it. Alas! It will be a long while before I can lay my hands on that again... but I am envious of all who own one.
It sure is a dream...

What an excellent read. Such imagery. You have a way with words. Hopefully you will get your hands on your very own very soon.
