Hello DPC,

I have a female photoshoot coming up and I wanted to do some research on the top female photographers to get some ideas and instruction. In your opinions what do you think:

Best photographer of a female subject (non-nude) on DPC?
Best photographer of a female subject (non-nude) not on DPC?
Best photographer of a female subject (non-nude) utilizing only natural lighting?
Best photographer of a female subject (non-nude) utilizing nature settings and minimal lighting techniques?

Thanks for all the input ahead of time.

I actually already had your profile down and was going to show it to the client. Good stuff! Thanks for the post.

Why don't you review all the challenges that have been themed around portraits? See who has entered the ones you like, and would like to imitate. This would give you an answer based upon the opinions of the voters who didn't know who took which shot at the time they voted, as opposed to the opinions of a few people who respond to your forum post. Thats a different standard of selection, but, in my opinion, it's more objective. Your milage may vary.

If you make him do the work himself, then that'd cut out the opportunities for brown-nosing that this thread presents. So hush...
;-)

actually a great suggestion coolhar... but honestly I have already made my way and notes on those that I find to be the best or very good. The photographers that are in the top 10 of those challenges have been reviewed... i was more looking for the less noticed and obscure... since opinion is subjective I figured this was one way to get everyones personal opinion... I was hoping for a wide array

Thanks for the suggestion!

mmm... maybe you could explain how it cuts out the work for me... I still have to make notes, talk to the customer, take the pictures and edit them...

brown-nosing? mmm a compliment well placed is probably worth that label..

I kind of figured as much. :-) Just thought I'd poke some fun. Plus, I didn't want to get into trouble for implying Kevin and Pedro were in anyway "Female". :-D

Laughing.. two manly men: but its good to be in touch with their feminine sides ~ how else are they going to be able to capture the true essence of us ladies?? And Capture it they most certainly do ; *tilt* ..
