Hey, I am admittedly ignorant about shooting in RAW and what needs to be done with the images once you have them! I installed the software that came with my Fuji camera just yesterday. My photos appear but after that I don't know what to do with them! As I understand, most RAW converters allow you to make adjustments to the white balance etc., usually using a slider or something similar. I can find nothing that allows me to do that in this software. But like I said, I'm clueless about it and my not finding the tools to do that doesn't mean they don't exist.

Does anyone use this software? Would you be willing to walk me through adjusting and converting a photo?

I took my first photos in RAW yesterday and am eager to figure this out and start using RAW more.

Thanks for any help!

I have Photoshop 7 and I don't believe it has that capability. I believe you have to have CS? Anybody, correct me if I'm mistaken.

I used to use it, but I found it cumbersome and not very user friendly.

You must have Photoshop CS2 to be able to process the Fuji RAW files (at least for the S3Pro, anyway).

Is there another software that might be better for me to use?

Eventually I'll upgrade to the CS2 but for now, any other suggestions?

Edited to add, I had someone recommend Raw Shooter Essentials, but I noticed on their site they don't list my camera as being compatible. But then I saw a thread somewhere last night where a D70 user was using it and it hadn't been listed as compatible either, so maybe I'm mistaken?

Any advice at all would be so greatly appreciated! I'm really eager to see the difference RAW makes as I've heard so much about it!

will Breeze Browser process the S3Pro RAW files? I am not sure, but I know another photog that uses it. I'll check into it.

Apparently, Capture One will process Fuji S3 RAW files. You can quite easily download a demo and try it.
