I am using ACDsee8, and managed to make a simple slideshow. However, to make it more effective, I have following questions:
1. What should be the minimum size for viewing full-screen? I have tried 640x480, 150KB, but it appears inadequate.
2. What are the rules for effective transition. Change transition every third, fourth slide??
3. How do I add music to the slideshow. What happens to the music, when slideshow is paused?
4. Any other tips?
Hoping to get ideas from one & all.

I have ACDSee 8 and love it. I've been using ACDSee since about version 4.0. And while I've made a couple of slide shows ... they were quick and dirty hacks and so I'm afraid I don't even remember the details of what I put together. So... I'd love to help you out, especially because I like to support ACDSee, but I'm afraid I just don't have anything to offer on this topic. Not on holiday... :)

Theoretically speaking since I don't know that program that well, for viewing full-screen wouldn't it depend on what your display size is set at? Try resizing your display to a smaller size and see if that helps.
