Well, I noticed that my "BATMAN" title was redone. Why the bother? Does SC have to much time on their hands. ;o)

most forums have unwritten or even written policies about cursing and shouting in titles.

YES!
UN-WRITTEN SC RULE section 110k, subsection II, item z: "Any copyrightable name appearing in CAPITAL letters in a forum title may be reclassified to lower-case lettering at the whim of any SC member. This rule applies to anything that can remotely be construed as "copyrightable" and is not limited to said items or words. SC are allowed to interpret this rule in any way they see fit and may, on occasion, test it on other capitalized words. (See section: 1, subsection I, item a, regarding "Rules of Whim" cf. section 1, subsection I, item b, "How to act Willy-Nilly and be Silly")
( =o That's gonna cost me, I just know it!) |

It would be nice if one did not yell in forum titles and posts.
PS: KaDi -- we're looking into incorporating your wording for a new "rule" into the site rules. It goes well with our biased, arbitrary and unfair nature.

Well, I did ride a short bus to school. Mom always said it was because I was special though.

Ah! I see you've read Appendix C, "Lessons in Rule Enforcement: The Spanish Inquisition and how it applies to modern day rule-makers and rule breakers--abridged for website volunteers."

It's actually the Spanish Modern Inquisition Terms of Enforcement... otherwise known as "SMITE" ;-)

AHA! (Note capital letters.)
It's just as I suspected! Shannon has been assigned the SC Handbook's "Glossary of Acronyms and Other Secret Terms of the SC"!
We have a similar term in the "Users Manual": SPITER, Special Photo Intended to Test Editing Rules

We see a lot of that term. That's why we have the section on DQ (Defiance Quelled). In general, we just try to keep this place civilized, which is why yelling is sometimes assigned to a special task force, Capital Letters Are Mysteriously Purged, Deleted or OtherWise Nullified (CLAMP DOWN), and habitually unruly people are handled by Blatant Antagonizers Neutralized (BAN). |
