Took this shot of my friend's dog Maremba this weekend. I've been practicing up on my Photoshop skills and thought this would be a great picture to test out my selective desaturation lessons. Maremba's natural blue/gray/white coat color really made this a perfect shot to try it out. I'd love to hear what people think.
Take it easy.

I think it is a wonderful capture, the desat doesn't work for me, the lead or collar is distracting and the facial colours are too unnatural.
Just my preference of course. I would try a portrait crop it is a little central, needs tightening it up to concentrate on that beautiful expression you caught or even crop to the left or right.
Great picture, well done.
Paul.

Well, as for the facial colors, that's just how they are on her. I didn't adjust anything on her face as far as color or anything is concerned. here is the color version for comparison. maybe people like that version better?
(color version)
(selective desat.)
Thanks for the comments.

The colour version is much better, almost 3d, try the cropping as suggested in the comment received, its a great pic, I love it.
