Well, with a little nudge from jrtodd, and a VERY, VERY, VERY supporting wife (thanks again sweetie!). I will be the proud owner of a Nikon D50 w/ 18-55mm and 55-200mm AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor Lenses!

Happy early b-day to me!

I know that it's not the latest and greatest but I'm SOOOO excited to get my first DSLR! Now I just hope I can prove I deserve it!

Thanks Sander, I hope I can improve on some of the shots I have kicking around in the gray matter between my ears.

Thanks everyone, like I said before my wife ROCKS! I would have loved to get the d70 but I wanted to get the most bang for my buck and I think I did that with my purchase. Anyone have some good advice for a first time DSLR owner other than charge her up and shoot until I can't see straight? hehehe!

Nope thats about it, lol.

Oh yeah, my advice......read the manual and then read it again and again :)
This advice comes from someone who got a new camera in April!
