i visited the above link and downloaded some files to try out but when i open the zip and click the file it just opens Elements 3 can anyone explain how they are supposed to be applied? |

you have to load them through Elements i suppose. i dont have elements but in CS2 there is an actions box where there is a little button with a triangle in it that when you click you can run the command "load action" find the action through that and it'll add it to your actions list, then you can run the action and apply it to your photo.

Actions in Elements III or any version of Elements are quite a bit more difficult to implement. There are several methods. Here is a primer for including actions in Elements.
Elements Actions
plugins are easier to install - usually in a plugin folder in the adobe program file. actions always require additional tweeking and will probably not work if installed in the plugin file.
