Hello,

Lake shot was taken this morning 9/28 and the moon was last month. I tried my hand at a little art. Please critique so I can grow as an artieeest !

Thanks,

KenSkid

Not bad kenskid. It reminds me of old postcards that have been colorized. Personally, I think you did a good job. The more you practice and experiment the even cooler they will become.

Edit: typo

I like it, but it does look fake to me. Try fading out the moon a little and making it appear behind the pink-to-blue horizon, since that is our atmosphere and it should effect the moon greatly. Also, work on the right side of the moon, the dark edge makes it look out of place. You might want to play with making the moon not quite full, select the moon layer, use the selection tool to select a desired portion of it(with the feather to a few pixels depending on the quality of the picture), and instead of simply cutting it out, lower opacity way low until you can't really see it anymore. That may give it an interesting look. Anyway, these are just suggestions, I really do like the way it has a very fairytale look to it. Good Job!

Love the idea. Keep the moon, the reflection and sky ... but back down a bit on the rest. IMHO

First thing I notice is the pavement. I don't know of any fairytale based in a parking lot :)

Second thing; The placement of the moon! In the reflection it is behind the trees, but in the sky it's all above. Even in a fantasy this should be lined up the same.

Overall it's a nice piece of digital art. Just fix these and the other things people suggested and you will be doing great.

Hello and thanks for all opinions.

I will keep working on this while using your tips.

Thanks again,
