That's a bummer. When I first joined, I wasn't sure what the parameters for "Favorite Photographer" were. So I just started adding people because I wanted to keep track of them. The people on my favorites list are there because I liked something about them and/or their photography.

Your contest has brought to light a question that has been simmering in my mind from the start: Am I too loose with my favorites? I currently have 58 photographers and 72 photographs. I'd have that many more if I took the time to add them. Maybe some of them are there because there isn't a "People I think are cool" list. I just figured it was my choice to determine the reasons for adding people.

Sorry if I've gone on a tangent. I'm really ashamed of myself for even being concerned at all; considering my house is a mess and I've got work to do.

Gag is done, I just want it to go away. I'm going to tally up a winner of the final gift membership soon.

Hopefully Phase Three is possible, which is having an admin clear my favourites stats, at least everyone who added me Sept 27 & later. Then, if they choose, people can re-add me. I was hoping phase two would work better, and there would be no need for phase three. Chalk it up to my crappy planning. Hey, it ws just a fandango one morning when I got in to work early & was looking to goof off! No big plan.

That's it. No grande scheme beyond that. Just an attempt to get up, get a screenshot, then sink back down. I'm sorry for all the heart attacks!

no sense in feeling like an a$$ really...no way you could be one in a million years! its you and people like you that keep this site fun and entertaining and the main reason i stay here. there are way too many "stuffed shirts" and " life is a serious matter and not to be taken lightly" people here that all really need to lighten the frig up! seriously people, this is a site to learn how to improve photographing techniques but some people really need to learn to laugh a bit...laughing is HEALTHY for the body not to mention its GREAT for the soul. theres too many who take this site way to seriously and way to personal! this is VIRTUAL REALITY...not REAL LIFE
I know theres some great photographers on here who "donate" thier time to help others which is an awesome thing to do( and thanks) but this is slippy were talking about here. just slippy being here lightens up the "atmosphere" of DPC. He makes this site feel more like a photographers Cafe' rather than a photographic school.

Result of the final membership.... drum roll, please...

I put the two groups of names into Excel & took the difference. I somehow ended up with a few extra names to throw into the hat, so the odds were 1 in 40, but at this point I'm beyond caring & just want to finish up.

I hit the RAND function & multiplied it by 40.... answer rounded.... the magic number is 26... the user... mesmeraj! Hahaha, perhaps there is some justice in the world.

So I'll be emailing the membership # to you, mesmeraj, congrats!
