My two are at my dp outtakes here that I thought about submitting. The one with the waves coming in (not with the fish) and the one of the child dancing. Let me know what you would have rated these. The one I submitted is bombing!!

I seem to do quite poorly picking the right image for the challenge...consistantly!!! Anyway my motion submission is doing quite poorly. I think if I'd chosen one of these others it might have done better. Probably one of the beach scenes or Child's Play. Any comments? Funny, when I look now I can't see why I chose the one I did.
On the upside, my entry for the Free Study challenge is doing very well. :-) |

I'm usually in the same position! Since it doesn't look like I'm even going to reach 4.5, here's my other options for the Motion Challenge for comparison.
Gracious: I like Child's Play and the flock of gulls the best.
Kandy: Waves look a little too bright to me. Picture of Addy looks both over-sharp and grainy -- is it cropped out of a larger picture? |

My motion experiments (not even good enough to be outtakes) are here

I dunno, they look like outtakes to me...I like book2. Without the hand it makes the direction the pages are moving ambiguous, and I like it at that angle, too. |

Gracious, I love the bird pictures; Hopefully, I'll shoot something like that someday ... my parents have a cottage by the beach. I like the feel of the Green transport truck.
paynekj, I like your second book shot. I tried it and couldn't get it right. Yours looks pretty good.
GeneralE, I like the tunnel shot for the motion topic, and I like the fish tank as a stand alone.

Initially I wanted to do a panning photo, too. But none of them was really good. I made the mistake not to take out my tripod but to handhold the shots. So I had way too much shake in them. Here are my outtakes:
Bus (looks a bit like it's jumping out from another dimension or like "Back to the Future" ;-))
Ambulance
Bus
Taxi (this one has at least some parts of the subject in focus)
I also have a different version of the subway I finally submitted.
Just wanted to share these. Maybe someone nevertheless likes them.

Stephan, I like your first Bus shot the best. It looks like it`s coming out of an explosion. Neat effect.
I really liked the colours of your entry.

GeneralE - I love your Caldecott Tunnel shot. Very cool, it gives me motion sickness :-)
Here is a subway shot I used for another photo competition. I really liked this shot but felt I had to try something new (so I panned taxi's for about half an hour walking around my block).
