To this generation, in America, there's a big difference between a "Coffe House" (Starbucks) and a "Coffee Shop" (Denny's, Friendly's, like that). For us, a coffee shop fills the hole between fast food and a "proper" restaurant. Coffee shops serve breakfast 24 hours a day and (traditionally) a simple menu of traditional lunch and dinner items, though of late they have gotten much more elaborate in their menu items.
There's gonna be a cultural divide on this one, I think....

right, like I said there are so many different kinds of coffee shops it's crazy. I hope voters are open with this one.

Can we assume that coffee would be found in these different coffe shops? |

well, yes...amoung other things. The places I hang out have live music and poetry readings at night and on weekends while they harbor business men and women working on their laptops or meeting with clients during the day and have a large varity of people in the mornings. Everyone from college kids (thats me!) stoping before class to elders of a local church conducting their morning bible study before they go about their days.
Coffee shops/coffee houses (just for you bear) are a great place to go and just watch. They are always filled with interesting people doing interesting things. I like to go and just sit with friends or read a good book or write. Sometimes I even take my laptop and do my photoshop work on it. I like this challenge because it will make people go and see what their local coffee shop has to offer.

Oh, I quite agree. I've frequented more than a few "coffe houses" in my day. Even given poetry readings in some :-) But you gotta remember I have a food fixation, so the perfect plate of sausage-and-eggs is my holy grail for this challenge :-)
I promise to be tolerant of the weirdos who think a coffee shop is a place to drink coffee, though...

Note to add: I am NOT gonna shoot sausage-and-eggs for this one... I'm just looking forward to seeing whatever attempts at same show up :-)

I'm looking forward to casting a 10 vote for the best shot of Sausage-and-eggs with a side of whole wheat toast... Strawberry jam minus 1 point, orange marmalade plus one point. These are my standards and I'm sticking to 'em :-)
Robt. | Y'all didn't mention GRITS with the sausage & eggs !! |
