San Diego Zoo is free for all on Founder's day -October 3

thanks for the tip, faidoi! i live here and didn't even realize it. (meaning-that the zoo was free on the 3rd!)
guess i'll have to become suddenly ill or something...i haven't been to the zoo in YEARS!

Probably going to be really crowded but it's FREE Seems like it's free every first Monday in October to celebrate the Founders day.

thanks again, faidoi, for the heads up about the free zoo day. it was CROWDED, no doubt, but that made my focus be the people there instead of the animals. i'll have to get a membership so i can post a pic or two from it...there's one i really would like to get some opinions on.
so thank you for a lovely day, a fun photo shoot, and a great excuse to leave work early! (okay, so i brought my work home with me, but still!)
