I finished up editing all the shots from the wedding I shot, got them printed as proofs, and I am ready to ship them out to her (she lives in NY, and I am in PA) I have 329 proofs to mail out!!!!

Now, my question is, How many is too many? I shot over 500 pictures that day, and I only edited the best of them. Is 300+ proofs too many? I just want to make sure that they have enough to choose from and enough to remember their special day.

Mailing these will be fun! Ugh

Thanks,
Lorrie

No, 300 is not too many. I've done up to 450 before and was happy with that bunch. Do what it takes. :)

If you were on the other side you would want more. As long as they are the better ones I don't think there is ever too many.

My only comment is that if you're going to 'proof' a photo, make sure it is sharp at any size they may want. If it's ok at 4x6 but not so much at 8x10, then take it out of the mix. I've had one wedding where the shot was OK small, but when it got to 8x10 or larger it was fuzzy.... of course they wanted it in 8x10.

It's best to only show your best work. 350 is a lot, 200 could be just as affective.
