Ok, I was going for kind of a fairy look on this one. Is it too dark? Comments appreciated, and as always... please be brutally honest.

How did you achieve that fairy look? its quite interesting, colors are deep.

One technique I've tested a couple of times is to duplicate the original layer, give it some blur and then set it's blending mode to overlay. Simple as that, and softens the image a lot.

Hue/Saturation
Gradient Overlay (sky)
Brightness/Contrast
Secret weapon.... gothic glow
Followed by another gradient overlay for soft vignetting

I really like the soft, glow look and I think the editing suits the composition. It does appear a little dark to me. |

I dont seem to have that filter... wheere can I find more info about it? anything similar in the standard PS filters? |
