Got an LG VX8100 1.3MP Camera phone a month ago. Quality is good outside in daylight and it takes photos in low light but VERY noisy. Here's one I thought was pretty good...

The only editing was a touch of USM and resizing it down to half the original size.

There was a news clip on TV this week. Surveillance cameras in a grocery store caught a guy with a camera phone taking pics of a little girl. He's in trouble.

Do you know if he was like stalking her? Was he a convicted sex offender? Was he taking pics of her in the bathroom or something? I shoot pics in the store sometimes and if a funny sign, interesting person, or a cute child catches my eye, I might take a shot. Of course in today's world, we throw out all the joy and fun in life because of our paranoia and jumping to conclusions. Not saying that guy was innocent - I suspect he wasn't, since it was on the news - but orussell, you sure were quick to judge with so few facts. I'm probably guilty of quick-judgement as well, but it just kills me that you almost can't even smile at a child in public without getting strange, angry looks.

...anyway - here's some shots I took with it in the Pet Store:

...and I call this one: "Chit"

I hope the surveillance cameras didn't catch me.

Wow.....they're awesome Ken!! First hand I've only seen the pics from some of the early phone cameras which were pretty dire.

edited to say....here they get a bit piffy if you take pics in any of the grocery stores/supermarkets without permission......you might be a spy for the opposition :-)

the world is just going to pot with too many self-appointed control-your-neighbour types and arrogant, simple-minded, blinkered do-gooders (some of them even reach high office!!!)

[typo corrected before someone catches me]

Be careful with presumptions like that... here are photos I've taken of children I didn't know:

Thanks Sue - when I first got it, I was taking pictures in every store I went in just testing it out. I was pretty discreet, though.

Yeah... it is kinda shaky...
I was once on assignment in an arena covering a paintball tournament, during an intermission I made a dash for the public toilets to relieve myself. After, while I was washing my hands, cameras slung around my shoulders, a little asian boy about 2 1/2 feet tall walked up to one of the urinals and dropped his pants around his ankles and stood tip toe to pee into the urinal. All I could see looking straight at his back was a little kid at a urinal, part of his bare bottom, pants at ankles and him standing on tip toes. MAN... It was all I could do not to photograph him but it was all wrong for so many reasons. I would still like to duplicate that shot in studio but with the new laws it is probably a no-no.

A great pic and this again kinda ...sorta ... shows that a photo at a max of 640 can look almost .. kinda ... close to .... right in there ... as a good 8.2 mp camera.

The site doesn't really say ... but it sure looks like a little touchup, contrast, curves, levels etc on PS before uploading? Or are these basic straight from the camera .... ummmm another advertising gimmick?
