I am trying to do something different with my website's photo gallery. Especially since I haven't updated it in ages.
Can anyone give me some suggestions?
You can find the current one here: //twyla.freespaces.com (click on "art" as I still have some older non-photo stuff in there).
Is a photoblog the way to go? What are your opinions on photoblogs? Can anyone reccommend a good host that would look similar to what I've got right now, but with the commenting option?
I would appreciate some input and advice on this.

I'd recommend buzznet.
They're free and fairly active
Buzznet's main page
my photoblog there which started out as a Photo-a-day but has degenerated into a photo-whenever-I-have-time

I think blogger.com is a good cheap/easy/free solution for blogging. No ads, and it's run by Google.
Easy to add photo's with Picasa2/Hello both also from Google.
There's several different default styles you can choose from, and you can write your own if you like.
I'd go to //www.photoblogs.org for more resources than just opinions.
Chek out mine. Click down there on my signature.
Also, it doesn't make viewers sign up like Buzznet wants you to do.

Yahoo 360 is new, (still under beta)..
The link can be found at yahoo's homepage.
I haven't tried it, but I seen "LaurieBlacks" and it looks nice.

Oh, sorry, looks like photoblogs.org took their wiki down for a while.
also try SixApart
They have several diffent options, and they're a little more configurable than bloggger. But you have to pay of course.
