"Take a photograph which causes the viewer to focus on the edge rather than the center of the picture."

OK, first suggestion I've posted. We had this task in a photography class I took way back in undergrad. There were some interesting results.

I've roughly been over the challenge history and didn't see something like it. I could have missed one though.

:) Not on digital. The pics from undergrad are, naturally, on film. I'll try to find a different example.

I like this a lot. It should encourage real creativity, I think, because by definition the standard kinds of composition and subjects aren't going to work.

forgive me if a stupid question, but would this done by using a very narrow depth of field or how? Sounds like a very interesting idea.

This is a total proof-of-concept picture, and I'd give it a less than 4 in real life, but something like this...
