Most of my submissions were entered at the last minute, I didn't necessarily take thme just before the deadline, but I'd be looking through the pictures from that week and say "Oh, that looks interesting, and it might even fit the challenge, hell, let's see what the voters think".

And I can tell you folks the voters don't like it up'em. They really don't.

So from now on only entering good shots and trying to redress the sad fact that the shots in my portfolio are better than my challenge entries.

Rather than trying to make your daily shots try and fit the challenge, why not try switching it around and shoot for the challenge? May help you raise your scores a bit and will encourage you to push yourself a bit creativly.
