Hey hey hey -
We've had several good GTGs now, and I'm looking forward to the next. The only real problem we've had is making sure everyone who's interested finds out in time, so-
How about we make a yahoo mailing list to let people know when there's a new GTG being discussed? The list would be used only to give people the heads up; the real discussion would still be on DPC.
So drop a line on this thread if you wanna!

All right, I have now created a yahoo group, which is:
---> //groups.yahoo.com/group/sfdpc/ <---
I believe that you can join from that page, if you have a yahoo account. (If you don't, signing up is pretty easy.) Alice and Rikki, I've sent you email invitations. Mark and Brennan, I unfortunately don't know your email addresses.
I'm sure there are other folks who'd be interested in getting on the list, so I'll probably keep bumping it every now and then until we scrape together all the people we can.
Brennan: No dates or locations yet. Want to suggest one or some? Right now I'm just trying to get together the email list so that we can avoid the problem we had before, of people wanting to come but just not finding out in time.

Kudos Damon! Great work :D I for one was bummed I couldn't go the last time you and Alice and the General went out to SF. I would have gone if I knew in time :)
Any ideas where we can go? How about:
1. Palace of Fine Arts
2. Napa or the winde country in late october early November (perfect for foliage)
3. Miur Woods
4. San Jose? Tech Museum, St. Joseph's Cathedral
5. Ookland or SF Zoo
To name a few. :D |

Count me in too. I had already committed to shoot a concert on the day of the last GTG, and I would really love to make the next one. I'm always up for a trip to any of the locations rikki mentioned. If you do start a Yahoo group, could you post the name here so that we can all sign up? If you need help with anything, just let me know.

Im In LA that weekend but you gotta love the idea of this
Ice Air 2005
Note: This event has been tentatively reshceduled for September 29 - check link for updated information. Icer Air 2005 is a big-air ski and snowboard competition held on Fillmore Street, one of the steepest streets in San Francisco. 800 feet of street will be covered with 12,000 cubic feet of snow for the first-of-its-kind urban ski event. The athletes, 10 professional skiers and 10 professional snowboarders, will clear an entire city block over the Vallejo Street intersection to the landing area on Fillmore between Vallejo and Green Streets.

I just now christened the new DPC Yahoo Group. There's a great windsurfing race on the Bay this weekend.Sail-World tells all about it. (Scroll down to the San Francisco event.) |

I'm watching this thread ... school's started so I'm having to re-orient my schedule; I'll probably miss the next GTG. |
