This doesn't seem to work for my Mac. Is it me or are they only for non-macs?

OK, trying it on my Mac:

Looks like it does work on a mac, which makes sense. It's just linking to an offsite picture.

I can't see Rex's tutorial images Riponlady, but it looks like you're just typing a text smiley. That ain't gonna do it. You have to select a smiley from a remote page (like Rex's list at deviantart), get the URL of the IMAGE, and then use the center button above this text box (insert image) and add the hyperlink to your message. Here's another:

If you use FireFox, all you need to do is go to Tools>Extensions. When the box comes up click 'Get More Extensions' and then on the page it takes you too search for 'Smiley'. You should get an extension that will add itself to your tool bar then when you're in the forum you can just open it up and you've got a ton of smiley's to choose from.

I'm using safari not firefox and when I get to Smiley central it says it is not compatible for macs.

The link Rex put up gives me a list of emoticons but I can't right handclick on a mac!

If you've got a one-button mouse, hold the control key while clicking.

PS: get a two-button mouse.

Thanks

Sometimes clicking and holding the button down for 3-5 seconds will have the effect of right-clicking -- I think that's what I've used to get a "Copy Link Target ..." dialog.

Sorry
Partly a test. Also that I am in fact sleepy.(1.30am local time here) Using Win XP, I do not get a copy url option, so I have gone properties and then manually copied the url. Am I doing something wrong?
