I just talked with an old aquaintence, and he said there was a third party (he thought tamron) 10mm fixed length lens that came with software that would automatically "cure" the lens barrel distortion.

I haven't found anything online about it, has anyone heard of such a thing? The more I shoot architecture, the more wide I want to go!

Thanks

since you're shooting architecture you should get a tilt/shift lens, that way you can fix all kinds of distortion, including that caused by perspective..

just google tilt/shift images :)

TS lenses are the way to go. you can pick up a cheap one on Ebay. I bought mine for about $300+. Some xamples can be found here.

Yup, and its freeware too. This program is just great! PTLens is what you need. if it lists your lens it will help.
