So, I work in a zinc plant and our summer hire was a student at Austin Peay majoring in art. He likes some of my photos and says that they're putting on an art show at the local tattoo shop and I should enter some. I enter four matted photos and none sell (I figure the show is full of students that have very little spending money, so no big deal). The owner of the tattoo shop likes the photos and tells my friend they can stay on display. This afternoon I got an email from my young friend saying that two of them sold! This is a first for me, so I'm very excited. The two that sold were:
The other two I submitted were lighthouse shots. I figures these would take longer to sell since they're not local. My friend said the guy who bought them loves night shots and shots of Clarksville, Tennessee and he may be interested in getting more. This was such a suprise - my first photos that ever sold and the oportunity to sell more! Just thought I'd share my good news! :) |

Way to Go Raymond! Firsts can lead to seconds, and so on. Could be the start of something.
I remember your Night Lights from the challenge. Very cool shot.
