Just wondering where people draw a line with taking photos for the challenges. Short of breaking any laws how extreme do you take it?
I have a story for almost every photo I have submitted. Here is my latest.
I have been bummed for 4 weeks or so and I haven't been participating in the site(nothing wrong with the site). But I deicded to give "bubbles" challenge a try. I was thinking of all the bubbles that I could do.....bubble baths....and then I thought of snot bubbles. Yeah gross but what the hey. Well I made some home made bubbles with dawn detergent and caro syrup and water. I tried "sniffing" the soap and blowing bubbles with my nose. Just didn't work. So I started drinking it...well not swallowing. And made some freakyly huge bubbles. Well then I started to gag a bit. Bubbles shooting out of my mouth into mid air. Well I wanted to try it in the bath tub. So I crawled in their with a bubble bath stuff. And shot away. Well I had some as huge as my head.
I ended up chapping my lips so bad I can barely talk or smile. I have been spitting up soap for the last 2-3 hours. And thats the only taste I have in my mouth. My ears hurt for some odd reason like I have an ear infection =). If I had to rate all of my photos with a story I would give this one a 6. I have had worse physical ones. But this was something I thought I would just share.
BTW I am back in the game. |

| Well I haven't broken any laws...but as far as risk takin and building and creepy stuff. Thats my game. Unfortunately photography isn't simply (the more daring you are the better the pictures). But I do like all of the stuff I have been through. |

hmmm, I usually don't spend money on challenge entries nor do anything I will regret. Bubbles into my body, I would not do. But, I am glad you did to tell the story. Get better.

Would putting laundry soap in a public fountain be against the law?
It sure used to be funny especially when the fountain was next to the road. Bet it would make a great photo. |

"I tried "sniffing" the soap and blowing bubbles with my nose. Just didn't work. So I started drinking it..."
I can't stop laughing..... (I'm starting to tear...but no bubbles, yet)

Theres a true story here...
On the east end of Long Island NY is bar called the Boardy Barn, an awesome place known for it's Sunday post Hamptons beach happy hours.
Across the street is a gas station which had a fountain. Next door was a supermarket which sold big boxes of Tide.
Now add about 20 beers and you can see the fun.
BTW, the fountain is now a planter. |
