Wow! That one really jumps out at you! :-) I love the brilliance of the color and the detatil and clarity. The shot is well-composed and lit very nicely. I don't care for the pink border though - it seems to compete with the flower.

I agree, definitely get a new border.

The border, as they say, is hideous. The composition is nice. The lighting is very flat and not at all evocative to my eye. The image seems also way too contrasty to me, perhaps an artefact of oversharpening, and too saturated as well.

I guess what I'm saying is it seems like you've taken a beautiful, delicate subject and removed almost all the delicacy, preferring to rely on coarse, dominating color and contrast to carry the message through. I'd like to see a sifter, kinder, gentler version of this image.

Well, thank you for the comments. As far as your comment bear music, i'm not really sure what to tell you, because the post editing done here was very minimal. Their was no color editing done, nor contrast editing. The only thing done was the border and a very, very slight USM layer.

Before I could give a good critique I believe the pink border would have to be done away with. Then I could enjoy the picture and give a critique on the picture. The picture itself seems to be very nice.

Could you post the original? People here like to play with others toys. :0)

A little odd to start a thread then end it so abruptly ?
