The Bring Them Home Now bus Tour (with Cindy Sheehan) from Camp Casey to Washington DC will join an Anti-war march beginning at Brightleaf Square in Durham at 12:00 noon on Saturday September 24 th. The march will go down to Ninth Street, and end at a rally on Duke University's East Campus.
Bring Them Home Now Bus Tour
Being that Brightleaf Square is literally around the corner from my apartment in Downtown Durham, I'm going to get out there and take some photos! I hope I take some good ones and plan on sharing them afterwards! Should be alot of fun!

Does she realize that her protest is possible because of the sacrafice her son gave for his country.
I had to write a 8 page paper on her little escapade,,,

Very interesting. I'm sure that she'd rather not protest because her son would still be alive, but I'm sure you know alot more about the subject that I after writing a paper that long.
I don't plan on taking part in the protest, I just want to capture it to remember this event. Something I've never done before.

Yeah cause if Bush hadn't invaded Iraq there wouldn't be any gas to put in the bus.

Please don't let this thread about Jaimeson's plans for a photographic shoot move into a nother political rant about the Iraq war - there are other threads that are open for this debate!

Well, I hope there isn't any violence. If so, I might be running the other way. haha Only after a couple of good photos. ;-) But I am excited about this Saturday. Looks like we might have some decent weather around here. It's been quite overcast with Ophelia off the coast.

Probably so but I think we should let her show her photos without turning this into a political RANT thread. |

Look I have asked that this not turn into a rant thread and so has Riponlady. There are plenty of other threads here to post this stuff in. Let her post her photos. Please. |

I admire Cindy Sheehan for what she is doing. It takes a lot of guts to stand up for what you believe in in the face of all the mindless vitriol from the right. Certainly more guts that it takes to hurl unfounded, hated-filled insults in an internet forum.

Comment deleted out of respect to non-political nature of thread per Kirbic's plea.

Folks, the OP did not intend this to become a political battleground. I don't want to lock this, as it is not fair to the OP. I will, however, if folks cannot refrain from the politically charged rhetoric. Let's get it back on topic.
