I have both, but I use Elements to organize all my photos. As far as I know the editor in Elements is "almost" as good as the CS2 editor. I know one of the major differences is I cannot adjust curves, only levels.

Since I haven't mastered levels yet do you still recommend working with curves? Is it worth having both installed? What else am I missing with CS2 that may be important to an amature photographer trying to get better. =o

I know its not a big issue since I own both but would like to know if you had the choice would it be an easy choice for you or they pretty much do the same on, my level anyhow.

Thx, and I'm bored at work. =o

Btw, I could've swore this post was discussed somewhere on here before but lack of search made it hard to find.

Ok, I'll stick with PS Elements 3.0. =o

I use Curves almost exclusively, but I can't decide for you whether that feature makes the several-hundred dollar upgrade.

Photoshop does have some other very useful features, like selection masks for adjusment layers, though most of the really "necessary" features have been present since version 4 or 5, and are not at all "new and improved" in PS CS.
