Well I just callibrated my monitor using Spyder2PRO Suite and I am blown away by the difference.
Everything seems so much brighter now, so much so that it makes me wonder if I did it right. I saw a few posts about this last week where ppl were saying they didn't like their display once it was correctly calibrated.
I might run one more callibration to be sure, but I think its right.
Just gotta take a look at all this other software that came with it, dunno what the heck it all does!
Looks like this piece of kit was money well spent though |

I just used ColorPlus (made by Pantone also) this past weekend and my monitor went the opposite way. I was set WAY too bright before calibrating (new 19" Dell LCD monitor).
I did the same as you...said "no way" and redid it. ;^) Same results the second time.

Yup, just tried it again and its given me the same results.
I am thrilled to bits with this bit of kit. When I think of all the time I have wasted trying to get decent prints off when my monitor was way off like this !!!!!!
Best £205 I ever spent, and I also get free professional printer profiles made up for me as a free gift from the company I ordered my Spyder from, so my prints will be almost exactly as they appear on the screen before long, dead chuffed - incase you hadn't noticed lol |

Excellent! Glad to hear that you are setup now. I'm sure that you'll see a dramatic improvement in your image output.
I am not sure what sort of display you use, but I would recommend recalibrating about once a month, as some displays will tend to drift over time. |
