I have seen it in the best rated photos at this site. Is it really acceptable?
I have also seen comments that the clipping should have been avoided. I am confused. |

personal perference really. I don't find most glaring overexposed parts of a picture wrong. Sometimes you cannot capture the difference in lights without giving something up. People just want a perfect exposure in every shot and that's not possible.

If the clipping detracts from the picture in some way, it's generally best to avoid it if possible. If not possible, try to minimize its effect on the photograph as much as possible (ie: in a non-vital area).
