Congratulations. I'll probably get mine in a few years when the price gets under $1,000. hopefully there will be a replacement for it soon, so i can get it cheap :D

I just bought mine last month, and it's the best thing I ever did for myself. Enjoy!! (Now I'm looking at lenses I want to buy lol...the addiction has begun.)

Yeah, I am getting a 20D as well. Except for only 700 DOLLARS!!!!! It comes w/ the full kit as well!!!! My friend works at Best Buy and gets 50% off all items, so he's hookin me up nice. I'll just wait a few months till the 5D comes out so the price drops a little bit. 700 Dollars for the kit package, talk about a deal!!!!!

... I believe the words I'm lookin for are: "Holy Crap!"
I've never heard of a retailer giving those kinds of details on electronics. Back at Staples we had one day every 6 weeks or so where we could get 10% off of the electronics (10% everyday on the rest of the store though). Seriously though, I've never heard of such a deal. I'd love to know what loophole he found.
And, of course, congratulations on the 20D. Know that my jealousy burns with the intensity of a thousand suns... haha. |

Last time I knew Best Buy offered 5% over cost to their employees, 50% off all items sounds like your friend is pulling your chain.
If its true, then you got one helluva deal, but I would double check..
