Hre's the deal: When I print proofs in the same day of the wedding, I have to put the numeration on them by hand (witting) or with some kind of pre made numerated adesive sheets.

So I want to do an action in photoshop where I can set the photo name (previous renamed to the numeration with windows explorer) in to the photo has if it was the number, has shown at the bottom.

But in this one I did it by hand and I want to do an action to introduce it atumatically. And the thing in to it is the part of the name of the file that corresponds to the numeration.

I'm away from home and don't have the magazine article on it, but PS has a way of doing this with contact sheets. Maybe one of the officionados here can help?

I was just returning to post the same thing. I use CS2 and the option is: file, automate, contact sheet II

Unless its something new in CS2, photoshop will put the numbers under the photos not on top of them. Maybe that will work.

I don't want to make contact sheets, because it takes too long. I know that in contact sheets photoshop puts the name of the photo below it. But that's not what I want. I gess tht if that way it goes and get the name of the file there must be a way to put the name of the file on it and then save it again in to a new location.

Actually the action that I want to create is more or less this:

-Open the 6mp jpeg file
-Resize it to about 3 mp
-put the white box on the bottom of it
-write the file name in to the box (like the image above)
-save the file in to th new location with the same name (witch is the number of the photo)
-close the file

I think I can do everything but the file name. Any help?
