what would you use this for? what kind of pictures would you get from this lens, is it like digital pinhole? it's kind of a steep price for a lens that .7" long. |

Isn't that the pancake 45? It's super light, super inconspicuous, and i've heard it's pretty good too.

Its a great lens! With only four elements you can shoot with the sun in the image without flaring. I sold mine when I started shooting mostly digital beause with the 1.5 factor the slight telephoto is less useful than the slighty wide normal on a 35mm. It would make a great candid lens for people pictures on digital while keping the package small enough for a jacket pocket. |

I have one of these for the Pentax and it really nice for candids. The lens doesn't even stick out as much as the the flash, so it looks pretty funny on the camera.
Pancakes definitely make some of the smaller dSLR pocketable.
