When you are finished voting, do you review the pictures and change some votes? |

Yes, one day before voting ends. |

I always make some more run-throughs once everything is "binned".

Yes - I also do it in the middle of my voting at times. |

Sure do. I vote in stages-meets challenge, technical, etc...

I usually vote as soon ,or as near as possible that voting gets under way, it prevents me from being swayed by how my own entry is doing.
I kinda use my own picture as a yardstick and don't want to punish others if it is doing poorly.

I go through and rate, and then go back and comment starting at the bottom and working up. That way, everyone gets rated, and all those with low scores from me know why I scored them like that. If I have time (almost never) then everyone would get comments. Normally it's just the really low scores and the ones that stick out. |

I opted to not have my score shown, that way there is no possibility that I can be swayed.
I usually vote in 3 stages... grouping photos by categories, namely the really good ones, the average and the poor. The really poor seldom make their way up, whereas the average can escalate dramatically upon second review, and some of the photos in the upper strata can fluctuate a bit either way.
Is it time consuming, you bet.... but I am rewarded by seeing some fantastic photos.

Very similar for me. I do one (hopefully non-stop) run through. Walk away. Another run moving some shots up and down respectively..then spend the remaining time leaving comments. Always while leaving comments I will find a few pictures I will change the vote on (usually bumping one to two notches).
For me, it helps to vote -- walk away -- and then sort and comment. I wish one time around worked for me. |

If there are lots of entries in a challenge, I score them spread out over a few days, sometimes writing comments. Once all are scored, I too go back and change some scores and make more comments.

YES! Many times, I don't comment either. I will if it really strikes me and I know exactly what to say, but even some of those get different scores up or down, later.
I often wait for the rollover and I'm tired, so I try to look at them again with fresh perspective if I can.

Absolutely look at the photos a 2nd and 3rd time. After seeing how I've grouped them, I can re-rank based on the groupings. Also, I do a lot of ranking after I should have gone to bed, so I owe to those people to look at them again since I was tired the first go around. |

Do you vote looking for a winner or top ten, or do you vote on each photo on its own merit ? (I vote on merit of each photo) Also, do you vote on all images every time or a percentage? (I vote on all) |

Only a bit. Usually the first pass stands pretty well, with just a few changes here and there.

I like the grouping idea--it really helped me with scoring. I voted on each photo for it's own merits, then went through them all one final time and made a few changes. |
