I recently joined NAPP - the National Association of Photoshop Professionals. I am just curious whether or not there are many members here on DPC and whether or not they find it worthwhile.
Personally, I love the Photoshop User magazine and their members website seems to be first rate.
Does anyone use the Members Discount to buy equipment and are you saving any money?

The magazine is worth the enrollment fee. They also have an online newsletter that has great info as well. The website has lots of tutorials and great information. I have used the BH Photo discount on shipping, which saves a few dollars.
Well worth the annual membership fee...

| I am, but all I was really trying to do was subscribe to Photoshop User magazine, which I like a great deal. I think of NAPP as being a benefit to subscribing to the mag, but it's actually marketed the other way around - if you join NAPP you get the magazine as a benefit :-) |

Thanks for the replies, guys. I agree that the magazine is worth it - as is the website and email newsletter.
The conferences and educational seminars look good - if I had the time to go to one that is. :) |

Looks like a worthwhile group to be involved with. Getting the early heads up wrt new versions of PhotoShop is a bonus too.

looking into it a while ago, i remember thinking that it was kind of expensive at first glance.
does anyone remember adobe magazine? i was sad when they quit publishing that -- it always had a ton of great photoshop and illustrator "behind the scenes" info.
they've got a pdf version of it now, but it's just not the same. ahhh...yearning for the boom days of '99... |

Rob... check out Layers Magazines. The sub-head is "The How-To Magazine For Everything Adobe". I also subscribe to that. |

for good adobe stuff--from adobe--there is still studio.adobe.com, and the adobe studio exchange. Lots of great downloads.
