Beautiful coloring, the cloud formations and the con trail emphasize the depth, or perspective, of the subject very nicely. The only thing I don't like is what seems to be a darkish glow where the black silhoutte of the land and it's reflection meets the blues in sky and water. And the darkening around the edge and especially in the corners could be a little milder. Maybe a curves/levels adjustment to let us see just a little bit of detail in the landmass/trees. I really like the deep blues but overall, it is a fairly dark image.

Just my two cents.

It's a poorly-exposed shot directly into the sun in late afternoon, grabbed in passing to see how the 10-22mm coped with "sun-included" shots flare-wise and overlooked on earlier processing. I was messing around last night and decided to try gothic glow on it; thus the softening and darkening. No "straight" rendition of this shot came even close to pleasing me, so I went with extreme exagerration to see how that worked. I liked the clouds a lot.

And there is, of course, the full orb of the sun smack in the middle-right to deal with; I actually used healing brush to clone some clouds OVER the sun, then faded the effect, to keep it from blowing out even worse when the glow was applied.

I agree with Coolhar (gasp) that this is a little extreme. It just kind of tickled me with its sheer drama. Long live 10mm landscapes!
